Trilogy of the Holy Family Continues

Please join us as we continue in our movie series on The Holy Family. Last month we saw Joseph of Nazareth to rave reviews. On  May4th we will see Mary of Nazareth a very well-produced depiction of Mary and her relationship with Jesus up until the Resurrection. On May 18th we will see Full of Grace the widely acclaimed movie on the last years of our Blessed Mother’s life and her influence on both the Apostles and the Church.
Each movie will be shown in Quinn Hall and begin at 7 PM. Bing a friend and a snack to share!! Those who attended Joseph of Nazareth all gave it a high review. These will prove to be the same.

Joseph of Nazareth  In honor of the great Solemnity and Feast of  St. Joseph please join Fr Rob & Deacon Rich for the movie entitled Joseph of Nazareth followed by discussion on this great Saint and Foster Father to Jesus as well as the Patron Saint of the Church. The move will begin at 7 PM in the Garden on Wednesday March 16th  and will be followed by discussion and end by 9 PM. Please bring a friend and a snack to share. The movie has meet with great acclaim and tells of the relationship between Joseph and Jesus as Sacred Tradition would suggest based on what we know of Orthodox Jewish Families during that time. Those who have seen the movie have commented how great it was to experience a story focused on St Joseph who sometimes gets placed in the background

For each eligible inkjet, we can earn up to $3.50 and from each laser toner we can earn up to $10. Old cell phones are worth up to $50 each. Please ask friends and relatives to save their empty cartridges and bring them to our church to support this worthwhile program. A collection box will be set up in our church.

Everyone at Resurrection is so appreciative of all the brave men and women who serve our country. To say thanks, we would like to start a list of all people who are serving in any capacity—Marines, Army, National Guard, etc. If you would like to add someone to this list, please contact Bethany at 412-563-4400.

A NOTE FROM THE STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE – God has blessed each of us with our own personal gifts and talents, and He provides us with the Eucharist to give us the strength and nourishment we need to use these gifts and talents in a way that He intends. With that in mind, there will be information in the bulletin for the first two weekends of each month describing three of the ministries here at Resurrection Church that you might consider joining. Each month we will highlight these different ministries in the hope that each of you will discover new ways to use your talents effectively. If you feel called to a ministry that will benefit from your participation, please consider offering your services. A form will be provided in the last two weekends of each month to help you do that. Or you can call the office for more information. Ask yourself how you are presently using the gifts and talents that He has so generously given to you, then make that call.

OUTREACH PHONE MINISTRY –  With Fr. Frank’s blessing, the Outreach Phone Ministry is continuing to call each and every member of the parish—just to get in touch and see how everyone is doing.   If you know of someone who needs a call, prayers or help, you can call the rectory and leave a message. If you have changed your phone number or are just using your cell phone, please update this information with the rectory. Thanks!

The Gospel predicts end times; our challenge through is to live faithfully now. When we live in conformity to the Word, hearing Jesus’s words and living them out, the future holds no fear for us. As you place your gift in the Society of the St. Vincent de Paul poor box, know that you are hearing the words of Jesus and living them out.
