Hello and welcome to Resurrection’s updated website. This site was redesigned to have a cleaner look yet still offer easy access to the information that you use most often. One of the most exciting changes to the site is that this new format uses the popular WordPress blog capabilities. The benefit using a blog format is that it allows visitors (you) to comment on certain postings. It’s a fast and easy way to get feedback from our parishioners and hear what you have to say. Making a comment is easy and fun, and anyone reading this post can do it! Just fill in your name (first name is fine) and email address (don’t worry it won’t be made public) and you can submit your comments. Once you comment is approved it will be published on the site.
You will see that certain posts have a comments link in the upper right-hand portion of the post. Look for the comments link on this post and click it to read existing comments or to write a new comment. The link may say “No Responses” or show the number of existing responses. When you click on this link it will open the post in a new window and you will see the comment section at the bottom of the post. See the illustration below:
Once you click the comments link, the article (post) will open in a new window. In this view you will be able to read any comments that have already been make, and you can leave your own comments if you’d like. Leaving comments just requires your name and email address. Enter your comments and hit submit! The form looks like this:
Click the “Submit Comments” button and you will receive an acknowledgement that your post is submitted and is waiting mediation. Posts must be approved before they are posted to the site. This is to prevent anyone for submitting inappropriate content. Most posts will be approved within 24 hours.
Take a few minutes and try it yourself! Your email address will not be published and you can use your first name only if you’d like. We hope you find this an exciting and useful way to communicate with your fellow parishioners.
