In 1971, the parish sponsored the 1st annual Resurrection
Fun Flair, a week-long carnival full of fun and games for people of all ages. The Fun Flair tradition continues today and
is held annually during the week following the Fourth of July. Currently, there are raffles, bingo, food booths and many small
games of chance. In addition there is a Chinese auction, garage sale and many other attractions.
Of the many innovations ushered in during the 14-year pastorate of Father McMahon, the annual Fun Flair may be the most
memorable. The summer carnival has brought hundreds of thousand of dollars into the Church coffers over the years. Other parish
fundraisers include Monday Night Bingo, Friday Fish Fries in Lent, and others. Most important are the contributions of families
who support our parish through the Offertory collection at Mass each Sunday.
